BEWARE......Bad blogger.....

so I know that i have been a very bad blogger but..... if anyone is having the same kind of summer I have been having you will all understand! Who wants to be on the computer 24/7 when it is 30 degrees ouside and remember.... winter is coming! I hate it when I say that but it is true and then we will all wish we had spent more time outside and doing fun summer things! Life is busy though! Manda and Cody got back from there honeymoon in Jamaica and had a great time! All the wedding stuff is over except for an open house at the end of August and before you know it we will be getting the kids back to school and starting classes again! WHEWWWWWWWWW it will go fast! Just wanted to share a picture of my NEW addition..... the son in law.... This is all of us for now anyway and I will post some more pics as I get them!

Home, warm home...This will be long....

Well here we are back to the REAL world..... back to Reality! The wedding is over..... hard to believe but anyway it was amazing! I will share a little bit of our week and then share a couple of pics! I don't have too many, I left it up to Tere, our photographer..... who was absolutely amazing! We left Calgary on Wednesday in the 30 degree heat and arrived in Salmon arm to rain! We go to the cabin and Manda said the forecast was for rain all week! I was like great, then I thought there is no way it can be beautiful in Alberta and rainy in B.C. it just doesn't happen! So Thursday we woke up and it was pouring..... and it pretty much poured all day! There was a little bit of a break in the afternoon, so everyone went out in the boat and did a little bit of wakeboarding. Thursday night the weather seemed to get a bit better but they were still calling for more rain! We came up with a little bit of a plan 'B' incase of rain on Saturday. Friday morning we woke up and it was pouring again! We were too busy Friday to worry too much about it except that we really wanted to set everything up on Friday.... We had lots to do so off we went to pick up rentals and groceries and so on. We arrived back to the cabin and it was pouring harder than ever but we thought well stuff still has to get done so we were under a canopy and tried to do our best and get a little bit accomplished. There were still people arriving and there were also people that were delayed on the highway due to normal highway activity but most had arrived by Friday night safe and sound! There was no setting up on Friday night because of the rain and we left the cabin at about 11 for Salmon arm. We left a few details of how things should be done and left Annette in Charge( She is absolutely amazing, and without her it would have been a disaster!) Saturday morning was gloomy, very gloomy and damp but not pouring! Then the hair appointments started at 8. Tere came and joined us and the day began....

We had the sweetest morning ever and still no rain so we thought ok hope for no more rain! we arrived back at the cabin about 15 minutes before the ceremony was to start..... no rain, the clouds started to break up a bit and it was absolutely amazing! Everything was beautiful and perfect! No rain..... Sunday morning we woke up to rain! It truly was a miracle! Here are some of the pics and when I get more I will post them!

Hey everyone! So the countdown is on....

I have only 4 days left before my girl is married.... I am not sure whether to laugh or cry! I can't really cry cause if I did Manda would be way worse than me so I will just smile and be a support for now! Thanks so much for everyones well wishes, I am looking so forward to Saturday! I really don't feel like I have much to post today I have been way to busy trying to keep everyone on a good mood note, so far so good though and everyone is good so far! Manda and Cody left tonight for the cabin and we are leaving in the morning! For all the girls going to Rondas this weekend I so wish I could be there with you girls.... so sad it wasn't a different weekend anyway hopefully we will eventually meet up! Don't forget ladies that it is the technique week over at "one little word" so make sure you go check it out! have a great rest of your week everyone and I will talk to you all when I come back!

SIMPLICITY.... is Jessi's word over at "one little word"! I love that! Especially with how busy life is right now and how much stuff we all have on our plates! Hope everyone is enjoying their summer so far, it is hard to believe that it is the middle of July! It's also hard to believe that my daughter will be married in a week and a half! YIKES! We had a little visit with Tere last night (our photographer) Love that girl.... she is so excited about coming out and doing the pictures! She is the cutest ever! STOP AND SIT AND THINK AWHILE......................

Sometimes i think I get so overwhelmed that I forget to focus on what is important.... the last few days have been so busy with life that I am starting to panic about everything! I am wondering if I am organized,(which i am not) wondering if everything is done for the wedding, trying to keep on top of the housework....trying to keep the kids buy and the husband and..... you all know how it goes.... Life just gets in the way! i don't feel very creative and there is lots to do! Sharla took this picture on the weekend at the lake and looking at it just reminds me to BREATHE. Enjoy the day, enjoy the moments! Last night after moving some things to Manda and Cody's we were sitting and talking and she just said I am feeling a bit SAD.... I was like WHY are you sad? She said just because everything is going so fast and the wedding is going to be over in the blink of an eye.... I just said you know what.... It will be overe so fast BUT you will have the wonderful memories..... so for all of us that are feeling a bit overwhelmed about the busyness of life we can be Thankful for the memories that are embedded in our minds forever.... a great long weekend! We went out to Cody's dads cabin on the Shuswap to finalize a bunch of things for the WEDDING so that was lots of fun! There was lots of people out there so it was awesome and some great weather too! Lots of boating, camp fires, food and fun! It was so awesome! i will share some pics tomorrow! I just wanted to post a picture of my princess that turned sixteen today just cause I think she is so darn cute! Love ya Shar!

It's Monday?????

K so apparently the weekend is gone!!!! just kidding but it sure did fly by.... we had Mandas shower on Saturday that was totally awesome! Loved it! I will post some pics soon! It was supposed to be a surprise but when she walked in the door she told Sharla and me that we aren't very good liars! Not sure if that was intended as a compliment or not.... lol anyways we tried and it was lots of fun! The only downfall about the whole thing was I bought a chocolate fountain because I thought it would be so cool and IT didn't work so If anyone knows anything about chocolate fountains and the secret to making them work let me know! I hope you all make sure to check out one little word for the winner for the word "MY" and also check out the cool slide show that Jessi did! It is awesome! Also make sure to check back on Wednesday to see what the next word is! For today I will leave you some pictures from my mom and dads yeserday out in Vulcan... it was lots of fun! The boys all went golfing and the girls just hung out and visited!

Where has a week and a half GONE????

So I have no excuses as to what I have been doing except that life and kids and hockey and scrappin and housework and yardwork and laundry and suppers and................. anyway you get the picture!!!!! Not sure if anyone has checked one little word this week but I put a technique up there on solvent transfers.... i know most of you know how to do them but there are a few newbies.... so go check it out if you haven't already.... here are a couple of pics of the tutorial, totally cool how it turned out and if you check back here next week and over at one little word, i will show you what i did with the rest of it!

Good morning EVERYONE!!!!!

Just wanted to post the layout for the 'one little word' challenge this morning.... There is some amazing layouts on there his morning! Not only from the Creative Team but it is only 8:42 and two ladies have already polsted there layouts! i wish I could be that fast, unbelievable! So far the response has been totally fabulous and it has been so much fun already, love every minute of it!

So........... classes are done now until the fall............... not sure about you ladies but so far I am in a bit of a withdrawal! Crazy I know but it seems like a long time before September, not that i don't have lots o do but.................. Anyway here is the layout, make sure that you girls get over there and check it out! Hope we don't start floating....





o.k so maybe we won't start floating but WOW what a lot of rain! So whats everyone up to? Busy I am sure, at least we have had some nice weather, the grass is growing and all the flowers look amazing.... I will share some pics of my yard on my next post! Maybe give them another week! It is so hard to believe that the kids will be ut of school shortly and there will be no routine! Woooooohooooo do i sound excited? Totally am! For those of you that haven't been over to 'one little word' this morning, go over and check it out!
