Sometimes
I feel sooooo Neglectful to this Blog.... like really how hard can it be to just type out a few words? I know that later on I will be sorry! Anyways I am going to try harder.... like a lot harder to Blog more.... it is soooooooo bad........

anyways....

enough said about that.....
Life is busy, like really busy.... I started all of my classes last week and the week before and once again I LOVE it..... love the girls, have a few new ladies too and I really LOVE that... One lady from two hours away!

Seriously? I know its crazy but i am so glad she is coming! So grateful for all the new ladies and of course all of my regulars too, i wouldn't be doing this without all of you! Thank you!

I don't even really have any photos to share this time around except of course a little sneak of the layout for this week....

Did I mention how much fun my 'Happiness Project" class is.... I LOVE it.... a lot!
It is hard to beleive that we are halfway through January! |That means the CHA is just around the corner.... Have I mentioned how excited I am about going again this year?

Yep super excited.....

Shabby Chic #1......

so here we are album #5.... so hard to believe that we have 4 albums done! Wow! Thanks to all of you for sharing these classes with me....

My first class back after the holidays started last Thursday! What a fabulous class it was, so excited to be starting something new for me....and I am sure fun for all of you that are doing this class with me!

I gotta say I love this.... especially that a new year is started and I want to do such more with my life....
little things, big things.... and I have so many ideas buzzin around in my head.... so when I found this on pinterest I had to post it... so often I don't want to step out of my comfort zone but I just want to try.... try new things, have no reservations.....just do it.....

I also wanted to share a little peek at what I have coming up... I have mentioned a little bit on my blog in the last little while but now I am finally starting this class next week and I am giddy with excitement! Hope everyone that is in the class is as excted as I am!

Can't wait to get back to class this week! See you all then!

I have so many ideas running through my head... in fact today I was thinking of just going to the store and grabbing it for a couple hours cause I had an idea.... anyway I never did get there but maybe tomorrow... What a day.....

Special, perfect, crazy, busy and absolutely fabulous all rolled into one.....

Christmas day came....

and then it was over

in a blink, just like that! It is always so busy getting ready and the excitement about the gifts and dinner and family around and friends and then before you know it we are on to a new year...

I have to say though I really love Christmas, I just love the whole family being together, getting to be surrounded by my kids and their kids....

just being together means a lot.....

Every year we try to get our 'traditional' family shot on the front porch.... Love that although we are outgrowing the steps, it is so fun to get the shot and to see the change year after year....
I hope eveyone had a fabulous day, I hope everyone got to create beautiful memories with their families! As a new year approaches I want to wish you all the very best for 2012.....

I truly hope that it is the best year ever.....

Happy Wednesday !!
Ok so I think my Christmas shopping is done.... other than a few little bits I am done anyways.....Hope everyone is having a fantastic week!
Just a quick post today to let you know what is happening at the Scrapyard in the new year!
I am so excited about this.....

This is going to be such a great class I can hardly wait! I am hoping to have it in the store in the next few days..... probably between Xmas and New years... Here is hoping!
This class will start on January 5th so if you are interested call the scrapyard to review your spot! I only have a couple spots left so let them know quick!

I am also going to be having another series of Shabby classes.... Shabby 5! I can hardly believe that we are at 5 books already! So excited aobut that!!! that class will start on January 9th... there might still be room in that one as well! I think Lori will be sending out an e-mail to let everyone know the details!!!

K just have to share something....

that makes me Happy.... Like really happy! How cute is this pic???? Love it a lot!

I know I Have been a bit absent..... not that i have a really great excuse or anything but trust me there is a reason.....( and yes I got a bit of flack tonight at class... sorry ladies you know I mean to get at it!)
Things have been crazy busy, finishing up my 4th shabby chic album and I have to say it is bittersweet.... i miss everyone like crazy, miss creating layouts every week, miss the chit chat.... i really do.... but i have been busy with Little Miss 'E'.... she keeps me busy.... good busy.... but all the same busy.( is that an excuse? ok so I had 5 but I was way younger! lol)

I can hardly believe that Christmas is approaching and then after that will be CHA and I can't hardly stand how excited i am to be able to attend it again this year with Lori!

Ok so I am starting a new Shabby Chic album.... Like seriously #5... I can hardly believe that I am there already, I really wasn't sure how it would ever go but I am so happy that because of all of you I am still doing it! Like craaaazzzzzzy! But I am so happy! So Thanks to all of you that have made a little old dream of mine come true...... seroiusly so thankful for each one of you!!!!

So in the new year I am going on another little journey..... I am not going to share too much just now, other than that I can hardly stand it I am so excited about it... I go to sleep thinking about it.... I wake up thinking about it......throughout the day I am thinking about it....it is alll about our happiness, and what makes us truly happy..... like really happy.... Oh my gosh I am excited all over again....

with that being said.... the class is sold out.... yep sold out.... but I saw in a little box a couple more journals..... so.... if there is enough interest I WILL maybe offer another class...
you won't be sorry it will be amazing

Have you heard?
If you haven't, you might want to go here to check it out! Ok so I have to say that I am so excited to be able to teach at an event with Teresa there..... Susan and I will both be teaching and I am so looking forward to it! Can't wait! So Thank you to Lori at the scrapyard for making it possible for us to do it! So it has been a little while since I posted and I don't think I even posted last weeks layout but it has been busy! We were out in Canmore last week at a scrapbook retreat that was absolutely fabulous! Thanks to Lori again for having me teach there! I totally enjoyed it!
Here is layout #19 for this week, I can' hardly believe that we are at 19 already, one more then the album! Can't wait for that!

Ok so I know that this photo isn't super recent but because of the Teresa Collins event being revealed this past week and because of how excited I am to be teaching at it I wanted to tell that story for this week.....
Here is layout #18 as well just so that everyone has access to it if you haven't done all your layouts.... Not sure how many of you asked me If I would teach that little frame class.... but I am teaching it at the Scrapyard so if you are interested just give them a call!

Hello Sunday!
well Sunday night anyways at 9:23.... p.m. and yes it is almost my bedtime! lol Just wanted to post on here before the week got away on me again.... doesn't happen that much girls honest! lol Yea so wanted to post the layout which is #17.... Happen to love it a lot!!!

Finally was able to get some shots of Cole this week! Crazy life this is but by the time the dude finally gets out of bed he is off to work.... not quite that bad but almost.....then when he has time I don't and...... oh it doesn't even really matter but I did get a few of him at least.... I was always supposed to do grad photos and it never worked out... will have to do it sometime i hope....
I also wanted to share some randoms from this week that I love and yes will most likely use on future layouts.....

Our little Mr. Kade and his new glasses! They are so adorable and he does so good to keep them on....i think he is just so darn excited that he can see!

This photo was taken so fast and I didn't even really know what It would look like.... technically it probably isn't perfect( wish Kianna was more in focus!) but I just love it! Love that the girls are inside and they are so excited to see Kade outside! so sweet!

Grandpa and One of the kidlets.... Him and Ella were planting a tree for me... well Ella was actually just muckin in the dirt!

I really feel that all I do on my blog is complain about time and how I don't have enough of it and so on... I am sorry... I feel like I need to know how to manage my time better... I know that I am going to have to organize myself way better.....I have been busy though with a few photo shoots which I love and have been so happy to do! Things have been busy at the scrapyard too...
I will be teaching a class in the new year called "the happiness journal"....I am so excited about it that I can hardly stand it... I will fill you in more on that later.... although.... it might be sold out.... i know but I have beeen talking to few people about it and well.... you all know how that goes! lol I will also continue to do shabby chic classes.... i have a waiting list at the store for that so if you are interested give them a call and they will put your name down.... Oh my gosh!!!!
like when was the last time I posted? As usual I am making myself crazy busy! I am busy but I really think I have to manage my time better, this is getting ridiculous!!!
We just came back fromVegas! So fun, we attended the Teresa Collins event, this was my second time going and I can hardly wait to go again! So nice to get away, although the weather was fabulous and the resort we stayed at was soooooo amazing! I will post some pics as soon as I get them off my card! Yesterday Lori and I taught out at the okotoks scrapbook event, had such a good time, and met some new gals too, so I really hope that they will come and see us at the store..... we are at layout #15 so only 5 left! Hard to believe! Then we will have the album class, that makes me so excited I can hardly stand it! I LOVE to see everyones albums finished and just to see how excited everyone is just make me so darn happy......Then we will have the Scrapyard Retreat at the Nakoda Lodge! Can't wait for that!
I also have another project strting in January... I will fill you all in soon! I am so excited for this new project! anyway just wanted to post the layout for tonight.... gotta check pinterest out before bed! lol

Layout #12....
I know! Hard to believe right? I am feeling like life is just whizzing by in a bit of a blur right now.... can't believe it! Oh well it is what it is I guess! Now that fall is fast appproaching I have so much to do before winter sets in.... clean up my house, basement, clean up my yard... and I found a beautiful little thing to do in my backyard and thought Rob would want to get right on that before winter....
Here is how that conversation went....
Me: Rob I found the coolest thing to do in the backyard... Just need a few supplies and we could do it right away....
Rob: Like right now?
Me: Well not right now but maybe in the next week or two?
Rob: Sounds like more of a spring project to me....
Me: well we didn't really do anything in the yard this year!
Rob: well let me see what it looks like....
Me: (with my inside voice) Eeeeek! Maybe he WILL do it! He never says no.... well not to stuff like that anyways!

so I will let you all know how that works out! lol

Back into the swing of things....
well almost anyways.... i have to get a better routine going so that I can get as much done in one day as I possibly can.... that will make me happy!
How is everyone else doing at settling into a brand new routine? I really don't like routine all that much, especially come summertime, I love that most about summer....no routine!
Summer almost seems like a bit of a memory already and it is still so beautiful outside! The mornings and evenings are so much cooler already though.....
I am happy though to be back to classes and am so excited to see everyone again, plus I Love the whole creative thing that I have goin on.... Love that a lot! Wanted to share layout #11.... Hard to believe but we are now more than halfway on our albums... soon we will be putting them together!

also have to share a few of the kids... a blog post just wouldn't be the same without a couple pics!

Almost the end of the sweet summer days....

so I am really looking forward to getting back to seeing all my girls from class, but it is also kind of bittersweet.... we all know that fall will be upon us in no time and it really is kind of sad... you gotta love summer.... yes I have been taking advantage of it to the fullest... I have been doing only the 'bare' minimum in my house... which means as little as possible.... but somehow because it is summer it is alright! Life as I know it will change....
as of next week Shar is back in school so that means that between Manda and myself we will take care of little Miss Ella while she is at school!
I know this will be hard on her but I am so excited for her to start this new chapter in her life.... move on to so much more.... be a better person because of what she is willing for..... as hard as it will be, it will all be worth it! Just wanted to share a photo and of course the layout.... I promise to send the details to the scrapyard tomorrow!

Happy Birthday and some faves....

Where in the world does the time go? Yesterday I felt like i was having my number 4 child and today Cole is 18.... like honestly I don't know where it goes.... makes me feel like I can't take even one day for granted... i want to enjoy every moment.... there are days that I don't want to enjoy and days that I don't want to remember but I do know that as time goes by, especially when you are a parent to a teenager....i will forget... I will forget about the sleepless nights and the back talk and so on.....

and we will love them anyways....

then I will just remember the sweet moments, the moments that made my heart melt.... and really that is all that will matter....

now if I could just get through the next few years.....lol Happy Birthday Cole, love you!!!!

These three little munchkins are so adorable! They enjoyed freezies together on the front porch and everything was perfect until Kade thought Ella might like to share.... because after all his was finished and what girl cousin wouldn't want to share with her sweet darling little boy cousin? Too funny, however she was rather stressed! lol

a fun, fabulous day to Calaway park and ALL my darling were there... I was so excited that I had to get a picture.... maybe not a technically perfect picture since the sun was so bright but it is totally perfect in my eyes....

COle and Manda went on this ride... Cole tried to take Ella with him, however she kept jumping out before the ride even started so he went all by his lonesome....lol

Sweet little Kianna.... she doesn't like my lens staring at her so we have to have pics like this.....

Sweet summer days.....
(picture overload! sorry!)

okay I know its hot at night....but....you gotta love the sweet, hot days of summer.... love them so much that I really don't want to wish them away!!!
Life has been sweet.... birthday partys, cousins visits.... days at the beach, rileypark,cousins visits....(you know who you are....!)
calaway park and so on it has been awesome! Even managed to get in a day with a good friend! Love summer! Had to share a few pics that have been my faves the last few days!

the pat few weeks have been so filled with so man things.... good and bad.... the bad has been made good....i think....

while summer has been so good, life manages to throw a few little things in there to create a bit of a disturbance.....
My dad was diagnosed with prostate cancer.... so while the news was bad and scary at the same time his test results this weeek showed that it hasn't spread so a deep sigh of relief......

Ok I am sorry... but there are so many pictures lately that I love... that tell the tale of my summer memories..... Love the memories, the phots that tell a story! recently I had cousins her from scotland and she posted her photos on Facebook..... her photos told the story of her tow weeks here in Canada.... I Love that.....

I am teaching my first photoshop class at the scrapyard tomorrow and I can hardly wait! i am so excited..... for those of you in it I will see yo tomorrow and for those of you that aren't....yep you might want to check it out... if there is interest I just might teach it again....

The days are flying by....

not sure where the days are going but wow.... they are just rolling into the next..... i have been a little neglectful on my blog for a bit because I have really been trying to just savour the moments, enjoying the days.... trying to get a few litttle things accomplished.... not that I have been getting very far on that! lol

You gotta love the lazy days of summer....

I know I sure do.... not that I don't miss you all at the Scrapyard but there is something about summer.... later mornings, later evenings.... although tonight I am already in my jammies and it isn't very late! lol Watching the kids splash around in the pool or with the hose or anything else for that matter! I really love it.... and we all know with summer here we have to enjoy every single minute!
Just wanted to share some of my faves from this week.... We have company from Scotland right now... my cousins, they aren't staying with us but I have been able to see a lot of them! Love it and I know I will miss when they are gone!

Sweet, sweet, summertime and a birthday.....

Now that school is officially over, summertime has started in our house.... i am done my classes and we are all settling into a routine of lazy, casual summer days! Gotta love it as long as it lasts.... hopefully the weather will cooperate with everyone and make it a great summer! (and yes I am already missing my classes and fabulous group of ladies and I know that you are all missing me but just think about all the Great photos we will have in September!!!!)

Farm chicks..... 2011

so I totally had to share some favorites from farm chicks....there have been so many great shots on different peoples blogs that I thought I better share some of my own! Not that they are anything fabulous..... just great memories, and I am so okay with that!

so to start off... Lori and I left bright and early.... well early for some.....(no names mentioned!) on Friday morning.... and got to spokane around 5;30. Had such a great trip just chatting and eating.... and eating.... and eating....oh and a little chatting! Ok a lot of chatting but let me tell you the trip flew by! lol

We got to the hotel which was like arriving at the lifestyles of the rich and famous.... loved it a lot! and no I don't get out much but Lori is changing my old ways... which I so love by the way!

We checked in the hotel and phoned our good friends.... well I think they are good friends....ok so I didn't really know any of them except for Paula from 7 gypsies and yes she is my good friend! We ended up having supper with them at a very nice placed called 'Twigs'....how cool is that name? Loved it a lot and loved the food and everything that went along with it!

Happy Saturday!!!!

okay well not sure about happy Saturday because it rained most of the day but at least it is sunny now.....lol
I know someone in my household that is happy.... Cole got himself a car today and I am sure he is doing the happy dance! I know I am! now i don't need to worry about making sure I am home to give him a vehicle for work.... Life has been crazy busy as usual.....in a good way though I would way rather be busy than not.....

Here is layout #7.... THe photo was taken at the Spokane falls.... When Lori and I were there for Farm chicks (which was amazing by the way!) we went down to a park not too far from our hotel...

There was an amusement park there as well as some beautiful falls.... hard to believe that was right in the middle of downtown spokane.... so pretty!

Cole finished up his grade 12 this week, Shalaina will be done i think the end of next week....SHarla will be turning 20 in less than a month... Ella will be a year old in less than two..... where did the year go? So hard to believe... wonder what the next year will bring? I feel anxious and worried all at the same time.... sometimes I would like to know the future and then realize that i really don't.....

So tomorrow we (as in Lori and I! just in case nobody knew!) go on a road trip.... to 'Farm Chicks' I am so excited I can hardly stand it! Don't worry, I am hoping to get back in time to teach on Tuesday... well unless some unforseen shopping trip calls Lori and I! lol

Here is layout #6 for next week... Sweet little Miss Kianna turned one and we had a bash.... and a bash it was! Poor little pumpkin wasn't feeling good but she did her best and made it a great party!

SHe is such a happy little thing that when she is sick you are like 'really?' so not like her at all!

By the time the cupcakes came out as long as she didn't have ten cameras in her face she was good! We had to be a bit sneaky about the pictures! Once she got in to those cupcakes though there was no turning back, she loved them!

number 4 graduates.... i think....i Hope!!!

what? where did the last 17 years go with him..... it has flown, even though it has been a challenge to say the least.... my little (well not really little he is way taller than I am....no hope for me though! lol)

yep my Coleman that has has been my challenge and he knows that..... well maybe not yet but he will know that believe me..... is graduating.....

This is the kid that hung on to my leg with a fierceness that was unreal really....looking up at me with fear in his eyes.... pleading with me not to leave him with his adorable sweet little teacher named 'Miss Kiss".... like what in the world could he possible be scared of? She was adorable! He did it for at least the first week or two of Kindergarten and even after that I had to plan my escapes very carefully....lol

who would have thought that today, i would be writing about the same little dude and here he is graduating!

Life....hmmmm just escapes us... it is just gone, the days, the moments, those brief little memories that are just days gone by....

So... as my number 4 child graduates, i realize that i have to make it a point to remember....

just remember the days....

be thankful for the

memories....

because I know that in a blink,

they are

Gone....

Happy Friday!!

Feels so good to post on Friday!!!! Ok I have to admit that I think Lori has seen me more this week than the weeks that I am there teaching.... not sure if it is withdrawal or boredom or what it is but I have to say that yes I miss my little life! Can't wait till next week to get back to teaching! I wanted to post what I came up with for my album, although i think I am missing a layout... weird.... oh well probably lent it out and have no idea to who....

THis is just a little glimpse, but inside it is filled with so many memories... so much fun, i just love going over every page and its like looking at them for the first time, LOVE IT!!! Anyways have a great long weekend and I will see everyone next week!

Happy Snowy Sunday! ok well all the snow is almost gone I know but wow what a way to wake up this morning!! a bit rude if I do say so myself.... oh well not too much longer hopefully! I have my new session of classes starting in a couple of weeks and thought I might get started taking pictures on a more 'random' weekly basis.... so..... i thought it might be fun to post my favorite or favorites for the week and that will likely be what I choose for my layout for the following week.... the album is called the 'here and now'.....

I braved the snow.... yayyyyy me...... i know lame but I did brave the weather and went and took shots of this sweet little 8 week old.... such a little sweetie! Had so much fun with him and his mom! Hope you like them!!!! Can't wait till you see the rest!

ok so what a day.... like April and it was snowing like that??? Really??? yep really!!!! So glad the gypsy girls weren't here for that... they might have never come back! lol

Ok so The Scrapyard hosted an event last week at the Nakoda lodge which was so fabulous!!! I Loved it! all of it!!! it was quite different teaching that many girls..... (like 50 some!) but it was awesome!!! Can't wait tilll next year! Although I told Lori the same thing after CHA! hahaaaa.... I am assuming she will want me back! ok enough of that nonsense! She will won't she???

Honestly it was great! The food was great, the venue was great, the people were great!!! all of it... fabulous is all i can say!

Our Shabby Chic 3 is finished except for the album and the make up class and I am teaching a shabby 4 in a couple of weeks, not sure how much room is left but if your interested give Lori a call at the scrapyard and sign up! YOu will love it!!!!

Ok so I know I haven't posted last weeks layout yet.... time just got away on me as per usual!
I don't know but it flies.... I have started to use my calendar more on my phone though so that I can at least keep track and know what in the world keeps me so busy.....

I did want to post this little project though.... I don't do a lot of projects because I don't really have the space for them.... but I do love this one.... one of my favorites.... do you ever wonder???? do you ever think?????

where the years have gone? or think that what if things didn't work out quite the way that you had planned.... I was just sitting thinking about time and how fast it has gone and where would I be today if I hadn't married the man that i did or hadn't had as many kids or what if I had more..... (NOT!!) but you get where I am going.......

the years just drift away in a blink.....
26 years ago today I married my best friend..... truth be known I didn't really have any friends so poor guy had to be my best friend! lol

we have had good times and bad times like everyone but the years have just flown by..... i was sitting here thinking back to that day, we eloped.... not that I would recommend it, but for us at the time it worked.... (too many details to go into on here) It was such an amazing day..... Here i was 18 years old, thought i knew all about life and being a wife.....hahaaa i was so smart..... yea not really but we made it and I am so Thankful that even though there have been hard times i still love him to bits......and even better he loves me....

yea so I hardly know where to start..... had the best time ever and so want to go back to LA.... it was awesome! And I never even left downtown..... first of all I guess I really needed a break from the routine..... and I got it! Met some of the 'famous' people that are like movie stars to me.... seriously it was so fabulous.....i can hardly wait to go again!!!!

So a couple of weeks ago, Lori from the Scrapyard calls and asks if I would like to go to CHA with her.... My first thought was I can't go and leave everyone here.... what will they do without me??? well the truth is they will all do the same thing with me here or without me here so I asked everyone ( everyone in my household...) what they would do? everyone answered why wouldn't I????? and so..... i am going.....It has been a dream of mine for quite some time to go there and have thought about going lots over the last few years but it has never worked out and here I am ...... going..... I am so So excited!!!!! I am feeling stressed and slightly overwhelmed with 'life' right now so I am hoping this will help.....

Happy Monday Morning.....
have I mentioned how much I LOVE Mondays???? Especially this Monday morning.... kids are back to school, it's quiet and peaceful, I know there won't be any bickering today, not till tonight and then i will be at my 'happy' place so it won't matter anyways...... gotta love it!
I am not sure how many of you were familiar with 'OLW' ? Anyways I was on the creative team and we picked a word every other week, designed a layout and then there were lots, and lots of people that played along with us..... it was so fun! Ali Edwards was the originator of the one little word for the year...... this year is no exeption except she is doing more with it this year...... i usually pick a word that I like for the year and just try to remember it every so often, this year my word is:
Focus
i want to focus on 'me'..... focus on the things that are important to me......we all get so busy that we forget.... maybe our vision gets a little cloudy and we don't see as good as we should......
so for this year I want to be careful that I keep focused on the things that truly matter......

December 24th.....
So hard to believe... so hard to imagine that another year has almost flown by... The babies are growin up so fast.... Kianna is almost 7 months and Ella is almost 5 months.... soon they will be talking and walking..... not that I want to wish these sweet precious moments away but time doesn't stand still for any of us.....

Life is not measured by the breaths we take....
but by the moments that take our breath away.... I know that this sweet little picture is just an ordinary moment.... a cute little cousin shot so that they will know that they were little friends when they were babies but to me this is one of those moments that takes my breath away....
makes me wish that this particular moment would just stand still.... continue on forever.
I love just getting those everyday shots, the ones that maybe as time goes on I won't remember but maybe ten, fifteen or twenty years from now I will look at this layout and remember when I just wanted that day that sweet little moment to last forever, then I will be so thankful for the memory of that everyday moment caught on film.....

Finally....
yea I know that I am really late this time.... not really an excuse I know but I did have a class on Saturday as well as 4 classes last week...... does that count???? I hope so! I did try to do this layout so that none of you will really need any pictures, although you will like your layout way better when you leave the class if you have the pictures done.... for those of you wondering... the little book on the front has seven pictures in it! Some of my faves from the last little while!
We had a busy weekend, Shawn was home this weekend so that was really nice! He brought his sweet little friend Chantal(love her! She is such a doll!) and we had supper with them... then we went swimming which I haven't done or a very long time but it was really nice! It was so nice to see everyone have such a great time.... reminded me of how much fun all the kids had when they were little. That is what inspired me on this layout.... the pictures are my 'now'.... today, this moment.... I am so glad that my passion is photography and documenting my family history.....

ok so i found out that I should have taken my halloween shots of the kids way earlier than I did because they didn't turn out quite like I thought they would....terrible lighting..... oh well the memories were still captured! I am not sure who had more fun, the kids or Manda and SHarla.... They were the ones yelling 'trick or treat' it was so funny to watch them having so much fun! And they were so excited to dress the kids up! I don't even think Kade knew what was happeningg nd the babies certainly didn't! Too fun!

I also wanted to post the album from the class this week!It has been a great week and so much fun to see everyone do their albums! I have to say that it has been so much fun teaching all these "shabby chic" classes! Rock on dude.....
we were looking through these shots last night and Sharla pointed out that our little Miss Kianna had the whole 'rock on' thing going on!!!! How cute is that? Even down to those cute little lips! I got home from the store yesterday and it was so beautiful out.... Manda said lets take Kianna out and get some pictures of her.... so off we went, just out to the backyard.... doesn't look quite as nice out there as it did a couple of weeks ago but oh well I wasn't takin pictures of the yard anyways.... just the cute little munchkins!

Kianna is such a little doll, she has the biggest blue eyes ever and such a little sweetheart!
She has a thing with her tongue right now....not quite sure but she loves to stick it out and roll it around..... it is soooooo cute!

Tries to get a few of Mr.Kade.... almost impossible but did manage to capture a few anyways! His sweater looks dirty but it is just water! lol He is in love with those stacking cups! Loves them and will play with them for hours on end....
Little Miss Ella is a little doll.... we were commenting on how much she is changing.... she is content to just sit now and entertain herself a little bit more.... she loves watching Kade! She has started to laugh the cutest little baby laugh..... love it!!!

You have to LOVE Calgary.....
yesterday it was about 23 degrees and today it is snowing like crazy! I don't know about all of you but it feels to me like we had snow not very long ago! Oh well welcome to winter again.... I just wanted to share some shots of everyone from the last little while before I forget about them! (not the people just the pictures!) It is so hard to schedule everyone in my house to go and have family pictures done, I am sure most of us feel the same way! THe last couple of years I just try to get everyone to cram on to the front porch and get a quick picture.... this is what we got this time around! Not bad considering there are a lot of us now! I love it anyways.....SHawn hasn't been home for awhile and we have all missed him like crazy so it was good to et it even if it was quick and everyone was getting very impatient but that is the way we are.....lol

Birthdays....Photoshoots, a Layout, and a computer that doesn't work.....
ok it works now but it broke down on me when I needed it the most..... who knew that we would become so dependant on a computer??? Anyways its good for the time being so i will touch wood that it will be good for a bit!

I did this layout in honour of my hunny bunny who turned 50 this past weekend.... so hard to believe how fast the years go by.... i still remember his 21st birthday and what he was wearing even... how scary is that???? Anyway happy Birthday to my hubby, hope you have the best year ever!

Baby Keaston is 2 weeks old and an absolute little sweeetie.... he has the sweetet little cry ever.... He only cried when we were trying to shove him into a big cold metal bucket! Imagine that???? I though for sure he would have enjoyed it! So sweet though....
I hadn't really noticed that Ella is getting that big but compared to a brand new one she is... Hard to believe how fast it happens!

ANother cool day out there today, don't think we will be having an indian summer this year.... sucks but what do you do.....

Little Miss Ella is growing so fast, hard to believe she is almost 2 months old.... On the 27th Kianna will be 4 months and on the 29th Ella will be 2 months.... time flies when your havin fun.....I guess....

The first real week of September.....
in other words.... the first week back to work! Not that what I do is 'real' work because it sure isn't! More of a social, fun thing with a GREAT bunch of ladies! it's been awhile.....
you all know what happens when i don't blog for a bit, it seems like it is picture overload! Yikes!
I'm not sure about the rest of you but I am thoroughly enjoying the last few days of the summer days....soon it will be a distant memory..... doesn't feel like we have had much of one but it has been so nice for the break from routine! Have I already mentioned that I don't like routine? Just incase I haven't I really don't like it!
All of us girls, and Kade went up to see Cody's sister Jessica and her hubbies new plce in Camrose last week... we had a really nice time! She has such a nice place and a really nice spot! Even got to take some pictures by her barn....Love that barn! The kids were all so good! We were totally inspired after we got home to go to the farmers market and get some fresh fruit and veggies and then Manda and I got all domesticated yesterday and canned 52 jars of peaches! It was lots of fun even though I was totally exhausted by last night! I was thinking i was getting old and not able to handle too much anymore but the girls werre all just as tired as I was! Thank goodness!

The days are getting shorter.....
or is it just me??? I hope it is but somehow I don't think so...... Kind of sad in a way that summer will soon be ending and a new season will be upon us.... I am really looking forward to fall and classes starting again.... a new routine....( although I don't like routine at all! lol) But for me September will bring a lot of changes to my busy household.....I can't say that I am looking forward to that. The baby girls are growing like crazy, so hard to believe! Our little Ella has started to smile, it is so sweet to see both babies learning something new everyday! Kianna has the most amazing big blue eyes and smiles constantly! She is such a doll! Kade continues to entertain us all and has a fascination to vehicles,especially Grandpas truck! He LOVES that! He also Loves the keys, scary I know but he has his own little set now! I hope everyone enjoys the last couple of weeks of summer! Can't blog without a few photos! Enjoy!

I am reminded again....
that life is short..... that time is going so fast...... that we might not have tomorrow..... How many times have I told myself to make sure i give my kids an extra hug today or tell that special someone that i love them? On Saturday, Bright and early we left for Lethbridge..... all of us to attend the funeral of a 26 year old man that passed away while on a family holiday to the Shuswap. We have known him and his family for a few years now.....Anybody that spoke of him spoke very fondly of him and that he was such a great guy.... he truly was...... and he will be missed by all that knew him.....My heart goes out to his family and it amazes me the strength and courage that they showed..... Since then I have been reminded of how life can be cut so short and that we really have to make the very most of today..... take time for your family and friends.

Sweet Summertime Memories.....
well I have to say that this will be a summer to remember.... there has been so many moments that I will cherish forever! Life has been so crazy busy that I don't have a lot of time for anything right now! I am SOOOOOO glad that we can capture these sweet little moments..... the moments that not very long from now will be a distant little memory.......our sweet little Ella is 5 days old and such a sweet little treat to have around! I have to say I am loving it.... the sweet little morning snuggles while Shar tries to catch up on her sleep.... so far she is doing amazing.... she is settling in to motherhood like a little natural! She adores her sweet little girl!

Manda, Cody and the kids were away for the weekend and I could hardly believe how much Kianna had changed in just 4 days! Like amazing! She is such a happy little thing, smiling and chatting! She is a gorgeous little thing! Makes me not want to miss a single second of time with all of them!

Our little Kade man was so exciting when he came over this morning! He LOVES to see the kids and LOVES when Cole or anyone for that matter plays with him! Such a sweetheart and Keeps us all totally entertained!
I have to admit trying to capture one little shot of him is a huge challenge but once he got his freezie it was all good!
Enjoy every single moment of today so that they will be embedded in our hearts and minds forever.....

Have you ever wished.....
that you could change things....that you could make things better? That you could take away pain from your kids..... last night as I watched my third grandbaby come in to the world, the only things that I could think of is that I wished it was me doing it....i wished it was me in pain.... I wanted so bad to trade Shar places and do it for her.....
I know that people have babies everyday but watching one of your kids go through it was a whole new experience for me.....
She was a trooper though and did it.... Finally.....This was right after Ella was born.... Sharla was so happy she could hardly stand it....

the old stomping grounds.....
what a great way to finish off a really nice weekend! well an even better way would have been to be celebrating a new little baby into our family....however this was the next best thing! We spent the evening down at Sandy Beach..... went for ice cream first though, which again was awesome! We used to take the kids down to this great little park when they were little and here we are again taking the grandbabies down to the same spot! It was so fun! Kade loved it by the river, playing in the rocks and in the water! Him and abe had a reat time skipping rocks.... well actually we all had fun doing it, not that I can but I tried!

I had the perfect photo set up for this picture.... had a fabulous image in my mind....and this is what I got! this wasn't qhite what i had in my mind however I love it anyway, the only thing missing is Shawn and Cole! This is my wonderful but chaotic family.... just as they are!

Summer Memories....

at the Zoo! Okay I have to admit I don't really like going to the zoo! I had WAAAAAAYYYYYY too many field trips there when my kids were all little..... so when Kathy asked us to join her and Jill there I was like 'really'????? do I have to?????
I have to admit though that I totally enjoyed it! We picked a perfect day for it.... not too hot, well it was warm but it was way better than what we have had for the last couple of days! The weather is supposed to get better so here's hoping! Here a few memories from that day....

Sharla 40 weeks and counting! SHe was a trooper, i am sure she no more wanted to be walking around the zoo than fly to the moon but we all told her she has to walk maybe it will start her labour! So for those of you wondering as of today..... Friday, still no baby! Maybe over the weekend!

Gotta love this little man with his curly hair! This was a once in lifetime moment with him because when Sharla is around he won't go to anyone! Not even his mom! Crazy boy! Have a great weekend everyone!

Sweet, sweet Summertime.....
i have a stamp that says.....'Look through the lens, capture a moment, tell a story, preserve a memory'..... I LOVE that!!!! although not every single shot is GREAT....it tells a story, my story....my families story.....
I always want to capture that moment, i don't want to ever forget the good times!( although I totally want to forget the bad times..... the times like this past week when everyone seems to be squabblin with each other.... you know the little nit picky fights???? k so I hope it isn't just me!)
I have a picture that I took last week of Cole.... it is totally blurry, but I turned my camera around, didn't even look throuh the lens and took the shot..... i LOVE the shot! it as a moment..... i knew that it probably wouldn't be in focus but ah well what the heck, take it anyways!

Last Sunday, after the weather got nice, we headed over to "my favorite ice cream shoppe" it was so much fun, we don't do stuff like that very much because the kids are older now and think that it is really dumb to spend time doing the whole family thing.... however nobody complained, well maybe one or two tiny complaints but nothing serious! lol anyways it was awesome! Manda and Cody were away so it was just the rest of the gang that was left! Life as usual has been crazy busy but it has been so good to enjoy the gorgeous hot sunny days! since this is technically my first weekend of summer, you gotta love this weather!!!! Wow! Now bring on more heat and we will all be happy! Had such a great weekend! Everyone was around here yesterday and we literally hung out outside all Day!!!! It was awesome! Then we had a barbeque for supper! So fun! Today we had a quick lunch and then a whole bunch of us went out to a great little park out in Airdrie! It was another great day!!! Lots of sunshine and fun times! Happy Friday!
I LOVE when Friday comes around.... I don't usually cook on Friday so it's a night out for one thing....( Friday night date night!) and cause tomorrow is Saturday.... Love Saturdays! Love the weekends actually, i don't do much of anything so it is nice! Today also marked the end of the school year and for me when summer officially begins! Hope the weather agrees with me and we get some nice hot sunny days! Here's hoping! I am still hoping that Cole will get a job, poor kid has put in lots of resumes and nothing.... hope someone is willing to give him a chance!

First Family shot....
actually thats not really true, there were some right after Kianna was born but this is the first 'dress up' one! lol Gotta love it but let me tell you our little Kade is a monkey(love him anyways though! and besides I like monkeys!) and totally didn't want to cooperate! Once the sucker came out he was a bit excited but his attention span doesn't last very long..... we will just have to settle for the 'candids'!

These next three shots of Sharla were taken today.... yes before the storm, actually it was beautiful when we were out! SHe is 36 weeks today so the countdown is on! SHe was up for pretty much anything so we had lots of fun!

Rain Rain go away.....
okay I know that we are all totally sick of it but what the heck????? the only positive thing is I have got my taxes done and my G.S.T.... I know how good am I? Thats what I thought.... that was six months of g.s.t! K so I was a bit behind but remember girls you come first! I had way better things to do....! lol So how is everyone's summer going? I know it is raining but I have to say my plants are looking really good! I have more I would like to do though if it stops raining!
I took Susans class on Monday night! It was so good to get out and be on the other end! Plus it was fun to be there with all the familiar faces! Lots of fun! While I was there Lori said to me.....'go sit down I have something for you'.... I was like what? ok i will! I thought maybe she bought me some cute cowboy boots or somethingg fun like that.... however she presents me with my very own Cricut! I was so overwhelmed i think i almost started crying! (and I don't cry) not very often anyway! So she told me this is a gift from an anonymous person..... Like what? who does that? So whoever you are I am so grateful! Thank you!!!!!! I don't know if she was even in my classes but wow!!!!! So impressed! Life as usual has been busy but in a good way, I am really enjoying time to get some things done..... today I worked on my room and Sharla did the basement! It was so awesome to get some things cleaned up! I wanted to share this sweet picture of our little Kianna! She is such a doll, Love them both!

Gotta love this little peanut! Did I mention that she smiles and was talking to me last night???? I know you won't believe me since she is only 3 weeks but she so did.......

So much to do and no time to do it....
and it isn't just because I am busy being a grammie! Well I am a little bit busy doing that but it is mostly because I am so far behind with things that it seems like i can't get ahead! Crazy I know... I really need to do a list and check it off as I get it accomplished! I am however working on my taxes and all that good stuff in between the yardwork and daily chores and spending some time cuddling with the babies! I also ended up working at the store tonight! It was nice actually, I haven't really been back for more than a few minutes so it was nice to see some friendly familiar faces! (Hope you get feeling better Lori!) I have already posted these shots on facebook but thought i better update my blog! I am trying to fit in a little bit of scrappin too so i will post that soon!

Gotta love this little peanut, she is gorgeous and she is such good baby, Manda is doing so good. she amazes me! SHarla has six weeks to go and I know she is getting anxious! Hard ot believe the time is almost gone! Wow!

This is what I have been up too.... how gorgeous is this little precious? Gotta love it! Everyday we have been trying to fit this photoshoot in but wow.... it has been busy! Monday I have to admit was a little bit strange... no class to prepare for and then Tuesday came and i was like wow I have so much free time on my hands.....not....then Wednesday..... that was when it all came to a halt and with the school phoning wondering where one was and another texting to see if i could call in for him to skip the next period...(won't mention any names....) then my neighbor Amber popped in to see Kianna, and then i told Manda I would come to her doctors appt with her, then pop in to the scrapyard cause i told Valery I would try.... (did I mention that she made Kianna a blanket and that it is absolutely amazing!!!! it has her name on it too.... i was like WOW! Gorgeous!!!! She is a sweetheart anyways!!!! For those of you that don't know her pop over and check out her blog.... give her some Lovin! yea so that is my life in a nutshell.... Crazy busy still..... I forgot to mention too that I had the priviledge of having supper with some of the girls from the scrapyard as well as two girls that are from 7 gypsies! I was so excited to meet them! What a great time we had! Nope I didn't have my camera with me! I know bad me but one of the others did so they may surface at one point! so fun though! Have a great rest of the week everyone! What timing.....
thinkin back to Thursday, my last shabby chic class until September, kind of sad I know but trust me girls if it was hot outside right now you would all be thanking me! Monday will seem weird though when there is no packaging to be done and no layout to be completed.... however did i mention I haven't done my taxes yet? I know bad me but the government knows me and they are so used to me by now I am NEVER, EVER on time.... and besides you were all so much more important! lol on that note have i told you about my grandbabies? No well let me tell you about them.... Kade our sweet little prince was here on Thursday when Manda and Cody were at the hospital.... I had my last class to teach at noon and worried about going but Sharla and Gabe were here so I knew everything was under control.... Kade loves it here and i knew that he would be well taken care of... when Cody called at 11:30 to tell me Kianna had arrived, i was torn and wondered.... should I be going? however Manda called just shortly after and assured me she was feelin great, go and teach my last class and come up to the hospital after that! Great class, although all the girls in that class could do the layout blindfolded I am sure! it was kind of a joke for the last few months that if Kianna could just hold off making her entrance until I was done with my classes it would be so great and she did.... such a little doll! Here are a few of my faves for this time around.....

we were at Manda and Codys last night and we were all pretty much fighting over who got to hold her next.... i so didn't win.....i will be grateful for Monday....however Shawn mentioned he will be home and don't get any crazy ideas that i will have her all to myself......

This is what I woke up to....
so three months ago we were at a chinese restaraunt and this is what my fortune cookie said.... I kind of that it was a bit funny so I put in my phone and then forgot about it.... last week I remembered and then thought....hmmmmm i wonder if there is anything to that little fortune....
Yep there sure was! Manda and Cody and have been waiting for the arrival of this sweet little pumpkin!
Introducing Kianna Rayne Geck.....8lbs 15 ozs... she was born today at 9:30.... Manda and Cody arrived at my house this morning at 7 and had her by 9:30... Mom and baby are doing great!

2010 graduate....
gotta love when you see the kids graduate.... they are so excited about their graduation and moving on to the future.... I LOVE that! This sweet girl and I had such a great time yesterday! She is a natural in front of the camera!

Just wanted to share.....
i don't have much to share this week, unless of course you want to hear me ranting.... and I know that you don't.... so I will keep it all good.... k so while I have been at the store I have to say that It truly is THE HAPPIEST PLACE ON EARTH! Lori says that all the time and i really believe that! Enough said.... did I mention how much my kids have been fighting.... bickering.... and so on..... NO? okay nevermind I said I wouldn't start ranting! lol Actually I really just wanted to share a few pics that I LOVE! and I also have to share that one of them isn't the layout for next week... i know how bad is that but.... i do have a good excuse.... i forgot it at the store... GOOD ENOUGH? i hope so! ( if I have time I will try to pop in and grab it before Monday but please don't count on it!)

This little muffin turned 14 on the 7th and I am just now getting thse shots posted, BAD i know, however that is my life thse days and I know that it will get busier.... Manda is due on Sunday and I really don't see her gettin any lower or bigger! Crazy how big our bellies grow!

I really find it hard to believe that my "baby" is 14..... i have know idea where it has gone but it just is.... last night however.... I was thinking i would like to fast forward at least 10 years from now cause I was a tad bit upset, but today is a new day.... thank goodness!
I LOVE this shot of Manda and Kade.... just a really sweet tender moment..... i would LOVE to have those sweet moments back again..... no worries, our biggest concern????....potty training the two year old...or how we were going to get them to sleep cause we just took their soother away! how sweet it was....
and here is my darling big bellied girl( it truly is adorable!).... there is nothing to her anywhere else and her doctor tells her the baby is about 7 pounds.... not too big... I am so hoping that it isn't too much longer for her sake however for my sake I truly am hoping to be with all of you girls teaching next week at the HAPPIEST PLACE ON EARTH.....

Capturing a memory....

Capturing a memory......
Looking at this photograph and all I can think of is that particular moment embedded in my mind.... that picture perfect memory.... the laughing, the giggling, wondering who was stronger, wondering who could piggyback who....seeing who was tougher..... it's the giggling I can remember the most.....the sweet smiles, and no fighting.....some days I wonder if they will ever stop fighting, and then the next moment for maybe a moment, maybe even a day or two they are "besties"they really like each other a lot! I know that these moments won't last forever because my older kids really love each other, but everyday I just wonder... when will that day come? The day that they don't bicker so much, the day that they really LOVE each other.......the day that they just want to hang out, be buds.....
On Saturday after I did my photoshoot, Manda came and got some shots... I have been wanting to do it for so long..... just in case she went in to labour.... can you imagine? i would have been so disappointed! She is not a huge fan of the whole naked belly shot thing but didn't matter i still think it is so important for later on to have those shots of the sweet little life growing inside of you! this is what we came up with.... and of course had to get some of our sweet little Kade! This is her at 39 weeks......

Happy Mothers day!!
to all you moms out there! what a great day today was.... actually it started last night when we had Shalainas birthday! (i will post pics of her later on in the week!) we had such a great day and an even better night! It started off with a photoshoot with Cynthia and her family! Had a great time, the kids were amazing and adorable to top it all off! here are a few sneak peeks for you to see!

This guy is just a natural! Loved him and anything I asked he was willing to do! Such a cutie!don't even have to say anything about this little peanut, she was just adorable!
and little Miss "H" was a little sweetheart too!
Had so much fun with you guys!

I also wanted to share next weeks layout as well! ALmost forgot! It's hard to believe we are down to a couple of classes left! Manda has two weeks left before our next little peanut is born! I can hardly wait!

Friday again?
okay so that was a really fast week! Not sure where the weeks go sometimes! I totally jinxed our weather last week with my comments about being so glad that Spring is finally here! Sorry everyone I won't comment again on how much I LOVE the sunny days, how those sunny days make us feel..... although it is sunny today it is a bit cool.... nice though.... Here is the layout for Next week, hard to believe we only have three left!
